Seve Ballesteros Foundation

Helping fund research to diagnose and prevent brain tumours.

Optical Express donated £20,000 to the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, which helps research the causes of brain cancer. Seve Ballesteros, one of golf's most gifted and charismatic players, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2008, and sadly passed away in 2011 following a long battle with the disease. Optical Express was happy to donate to this extremely worthwhile cause, as in the UK and Ireland around 8,000 people every year are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or the central nervous system. The money donated by Optical Express will help fund research that will help prevent, diagnose and treat brain tumours in the future.
