Mirna Belovari
Ms Belovari is an expert ophthalmic surgeon who has extensive experience in performing LASIK and LASEK laser eye surgery procedures, lens replacement, cataract surgery and aesthetic eyelid surgery procedures.
After graduating from The School of Medicine at University J.J. Strossmayer in Osijek, Croatia, Ms Belovari then underwent specialist training in ophthalmology at University Hospital Centre Sisters of Charity in Zagreb, Croatia.
In 2014, she passed the international specialist exam (with an excellence in education) held by the European Board of Ophthalmology in Paris, France, and became a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO).
Over the last 10 years Dr Belovari has made a vast number of international presentations (including Las Vegas, Amsterdam, Marrakech, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Barcelona, London, Milan, Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Opatija) relating to surgical refractive solutions with a main focus on laser and lens refractive surgery. In addition to this, she has also published many scientific medical papers on eye health, with a special focus on premium intraocular lenses.
Throughout her career, Ms Belovari has attended many ophthalmological training courses which have enabled her to continue to develop her skills. She is the co-author of two ophthalmology books for medical students, as well as ophthalmic nurses and technicians.
Ms Belovari has worked with Optical Express since 2018 and performs laser eye surgery (LASIK, LASEK, YAG laser capsulotomy and iridotomy), cataract and refractive lens replacement surgery at Optical Express clinics in the UK and Ireland.
