After spending over 30 years going between glasses and contact lenses, Susan knew it was time for a much needed change to her vision correction choices. Now, since having life-changing lens replacement surgery at our state of the art clinic in Glasgow, she is overjoyed with her newfound visual freedom.

Going for her initial consultation in our Aberdeen clinic, Susan then booked in for her surgery day at Glasgow where she received lens replacement surgery. Admitting that prior to surgery, she did feel apprehensive and unsure of what to expect, she can now confidently say “It went absolutely great, you don’t feel a thing. There was no pain whatsoever”. Delighted by her overall experience, Susan had nothing but positive things to say about the staff in both clinics commenting, “the staff of course are just super”.

Even with modern technology, Susan’s eyesight was so poor that she described the lenses in her glasses as being so thick it was like wearing “the bottom of a bottle”. This left her feeling self-conscious and reliant on contact lenses, which she found would repeatedly give her dry and painful eyes.  So the biggest surprise or Susan, post-surgery, came only the following morning when she was walking past a shop window explaining, “I couldn’t believe I could actually see the price of things, I was nearly jumping up and down”. 

Thanks to lens replacement surgery with Optical Express Susan’s describes her life as now being completely changed. With her new found visual freedom, Susan now has new found confidence she has never had before and is looking forward to experiencing all the things her previous eyesight used to hold her back from like swimming on holiday without worrying about her lenses.
